IPv6 Forum News The IPv6 Forum and the North American IPv6 Task Force (NAv6TF) and 30 affiliates worldwide are embarking on a large-scale promotional plan for the remainder of 2004 and for 2005. A total of eighteen IPv6 events, four of which will take place in the U.S., will be held worldwide. Supported by the best of breed partners, volunteers and pioneers of IPv6, 14,000 engineers will be trained at the events worldwide.

"Working with our loyal and supportive IPv6 vendors and using a blend of promotional techniques and technology knowledge transfer, the NAv6TF will have a number of seminars and events in 2005 to provide the best place to learn about IPv6 deployment, products and technology," said Jim Bound, NAv6TF Chair and IPv6 Forum CTO. "If you don't see the NAv6TF logo or IPv6 Forum logo on an IPv6 event, then the event is not endorsed by these esteemed bodies."

No stone will remain unturned during the IPv6 Forum and NAv6TF events. The CEO/CTO business case, political goodwill case, IPv6 ISP deployment scenarios and applications showcase will be the prime target fields of focus, all with an overall concentration on the end-user perspective. Through continued facilitation of technical and business case whitepapers, IPv6-centric conferences, IPv6 test and interoperability events, IPv6 deployment readiness guides and collaboration with IPv6 task forces from around the globe, the NAv6TF is the guiding force for IPv6 adoption and readiness in the U.S. and Canada.

"We are blessed by this mission and the fruits will be reaped by its loyal and foresighted members," stated Latif Ladid, IPv6 Forum President.

The next event of this series is the North American IPv6 Task Force Technologist Seminar, which will be held next week on November 16th and 17th at George Mason University in Arlington, VA. The focus of the seminar will be on transition, security and ISP deployment.
